Is EdQuest a replacement for Classcraft?

If you enjoyed Classcraft, you’ll love EdQuest.

While it’s not a direct replacement, EdQuest was deeply influenced by the gap in gamification and immersion Classcraft left behind when it was officially 'shut down' in June 2024 following its acquisition by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH).

Classcraft had become a beloved tool for transforming classrooms into role-playing adventures—helping students stay engaged through teamwork, rewards, and storytelling. Its closure left many teachers searching for a way to keep that magic alive in their classrooms.
EdQuest was created in response to that gap. Designed by an award-winning educator with deep experience in STEM, innovation, and classroom leadership, EdQuest builds on the foundations of what made Classcraft great while introducing fresh, modern features tailored to today’s students and teachers.

EdQuest isn’t just a tribute—it’s a transformation. It was developed with one mission in mind: to support the needs of modern learners and bring back the magic that so many classrooms lost when Classcraft disappeared.
